Metropolitan Museum of ArtArt Collections in New York, United States The 'Met' is to New York what the Louvre is to Paris. It's an astonishing museum in its scale and size - the best museum by far in the New World, and one of the 'must-visit' sights of New York. The collection of European art encompasses all ages from the Romans to Renoir, with works by all the masters on view. The Met's reach, though, is global: Egypt, Africa, the Middle East and Oceania are all represented and there is an extensive collection of American art. The programme of special exhibitions is excellent. Read more about this at World Reviewer: Metropolitan Museum of Art »

About usStuck at your desk? Gazing out at those grey skies and imagining you are somewhere else? I want to go here is all about inspiring you to do something different - about encouraging you to check out a new experience or destination. It's simple - we post something new every day. If you like the look of it, send it to a couple of friends. If not, wait and see what tomorrow brings. And if it gets past the fantasy stage, we'll soon have links to research the experience further, but you can also send us an email, and we'll tell you where to look or book next. |
